Hungry? How Does New Orleans Style Sausage & Veggies Sound?

Whoohoo! We made it to the end of another work week and I’m back with a recipe for New Orleans Style Sausage & Veggies that I think you will like.

I whipped this up earlier this week actually and while I did sub out the corn that the seasoning packet called for with some cauliflower that was crying out to be used, (I heard it clearly every time I opened the refrigerator door) it made a super fast dinner and the cauliflower ended up being a pretty good substitute! Win, win!

Looks good with cauliflower too right?

This recipe does come with a small warning – if you are not a lover of spice, I warn you, McCormick upped their game on the spice packet I used. It’s actually from their One Sheet Pan dinners selection so, truthfully, I can’t even call this recipe my own. I literally just followed the directions on the packet. Well, except for the cauliflower. If you are looking for the official recipe, it’s here on the McCormick website. I have to admit it does look good with the corn…

In any case, I also made some quick-cooking brown rice to go with it which helped to tame the heat a tad. I am reasonably certain that you can swap out whatever veggies you have on hand for this. The cauliflower worked well, but I would think zucchini, broccoli and pretty much any bell pepper would be good too.

Plus, you’ll be the first to hear about new stuff being added to the store and (shameless bribe) there could potentially be some extra incentives coming your way as a newsletter subscriber. If you’re interested in that sort of thing…

Happy weekend everyone – be sure to get out and enjoy these latter days of summer!
