The Why of it all

The Why of it all

As some of you know, I’ve been working on starting this new blogging venture for a while now, and when I say “a while” I mean close to a year. Why the delay? Well, there’s this little thing we call LIFE that sometimes throws you a curve ball, or two, or twelve. For me, that meant sidelining things to help with some important, and very sudden, family matters that turned into three months of upheaval in our lives. Things are beginning to settle a little and I suddenly found myself staring at a partially assembled website/blog thinking, “why can’t you just pull the trigger and launch this thing?” It surprised me a bit that I was letting so many little things hold me back. Well, maybe not so little, but I realized that what was holding me back was my own expectations of what I thought I had to have ready before I could take the leap. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a big leap, but also one with so much potential for personal growth and creative joy.

No, this is not me. I wish it was me, but sadly, it’s not me.
This photo does, however, illustrate the joy I feel as I embark on this new adventure.

So, why did I do this? Well, because of that creative joy that I know is waiting right around the corner. Because I know I have an amazing network of family and friends who will support me as I navigate this new journey and because, I’m ready for that new journey to begin. Busy or not, (ready or not), I’m doing this! I’m so excited about all the things I can, and will, share with all of you. I hope you’ll become a “regular” and stop back often because I’ve got a whole, big, long list of topics to dive into. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you get access to every post!
